Mindfulness in High School
People often question whether or not students will take to mindfulness at older ages. In this article, one teacher details her practice with high schoolers. She stresses three points I have seen repeatedly:
1) The practice must be authentic. Meaning the teacher must practice mindfulness outside the classroom as well.
2) The practice should be slightly varied, as described in the article.
3) Students should be actively practicing mindfulness, not learning about it in the abstract.
