Binaural Beats: Creating Focus and Calm
A binaural beat is when two different waves are presented to a listener, one in each ear. It is most effective through headphones. However, there are many teachers who have had good results using them in the classroom to help students focus. Some teachers also use them to help students relax before tests.
Research has found that 'beta' binaural beats improve memory. 'Alpha' waves can reduce stress and promote relaxation.
There are many binaural beat tracks to be found online, such as on youtube. There is also an app I liked called Beatfulness that allows you to listen to beats from many different categories, such as focus or deep sleep.
